RE:RE:RE:RE:Ivanhoe Mines mentioned on advisorperspectives.comSince I'm currently long the stock, I see no reason to take anti-depressants, which I wouldn't use regardless. The only one "engaging" with me right now is you, Two Good. I've been trading in and out according to trend. Not because I believe in the unsubstantiated BS you guys are peddling. You don't need to believe in a story to buy or sell. You just need to believe the stock is going in a certain direction.
That said, I always thought IVN was a good Company with three high value projects. For Platreef in particular, the price assumptions are critical. For an underground mine (I believe 4 gm/t 3 PGE + Gold), these grades would be classified as moderate. Not low or high grade, but medium. So, whereas a high grade mine is always very profitable, medium grades require higher pricing to really bring in the cash. Because operational costs remain similar, there is a leverage effect to higher prices. You can have a 100 million ounce resource, but it's only the profit you make on each ounce that benefits investors.
At this time it's uncertain what the global economy will look like five years from now, or even next year. Because of this -- with the exception of gold and silver, which are currencies -- my own metal price assumptions tend to be conservative. For now. As circumstances change, the picture may improve or deteriorate further.
