Here is the article you are referring to. I agree, it is interesting to see the attitudes of many prominent members of the Canadian golf industry and media - pretty much uniformly "meh" regarding Glen Abbey and the prospect of its closure. Article has no comments from the NIMBYite community opposition groups or Town of Oakville officials. Obvious their play to go the "Heritage" route to thwart the development wasn't well-founded.
