Unsolicited, Possibly Useless Opinions I went through the same tough times with TUO as others did here. When the stock plummeted years ago, it was gut wrenching, depressing and frustrating for years.
But now I'm choosing to look at the road in front of me and not look back in the rear view mirror at the guy who just cut me off! That road ahead is beautiful and it's paved with gold!
I feel bad for the insiders who sold too soon and are perhaps kicking themselves because the stock is headed north. But we don't know their personal situation so I won't judge them. Maybe they hocked the family jewels to buy the stock :)
Despite the 1 for 5 split back in the day, our equity remains the same. This joke illustrates it.
A man walks into a pizza shop and orders a pie. After it's baked, the proprietor asks: "Do you want me to cut the pie into six or eight slices?"
The customer immediately answers, "Six! I'm not hungry enough to eat eight slices."
As for politics, it's no secret that I am mostly satisfied with President Trump; no need to discuss that here but if anyone wants to chat about it, send me a PM and I'll be happy to calmly explain the other side of the story and refute some of the spurious claims that have been made about our President. You can follow me on Twitter at @CardDead1. Just throw a #Teuton in there so I know you're from here. I'll only refer to political items if they have an effect on the price of gold.
The real deficit has been huge for decades and no matter who is President and regardless of party, we are going to face an economic meltdown because the national debt is actually well over $125 trillion with much of it is off-balance sheet commitments for entitlements that will never be paid back with today's dollar. I think that's apparent, no matter what your politics are. It's probably not fixable. That's probably why all of us got interested in gold and gold stocks.
Sometimes it's hard to enjoy success after years of aggravation. I was still working when I started buying TUO in 2009; now I'm retired! There's a certain letdown where your mind mulls over "I knew there was gold there..why did it take so long for this to happen?" We old hairbags thought this would happen years ago and everyone who owned shares, I think, felt TUO was undervalued and there were some very tough years.
I do enjoy the spirited discussions here and I'm not judging anyone so please post whatever you want to. I just think it's better if we keep things positive because, after all, potential investors are reading our comments.
Monday is a holiday, "British Columbia Day," so I don't think the Venture market is open.
Let's see what gold does this week; and thank you all for providing interesting reading. It's a lot more fun here than it was years ago!!!
