Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is a Canada-based gold mining company engaged in producing precious metals from operations in Canada, Australia, Finland and Mexico. It has a pipeline of exploration and development projects in these countries as well as in the United States. Its operations include Canadian Malartic Complex, Detour Lake, Fosterville, Goldex, Kittila, La India, LaRonde Complex, Macassa, Meadowbank Complex, Meliadine and Pinos Altos. RE:RE:RE:RE:Terrible earnings, Meadowbank production fell 58%The CBC is always gonna paint the corporation in a bad light when it comes to indigenous complaints.  As far as I can tell, there is some community opposition to the pipelines construction by caribou hunters. Ok, for now they continue trucking the saline water out.  Not a great long term option but works for now until a longer term solution is agreed to. I don't see this as a big issue, the mining business is tough, try operating in west Africa. And even if this were a big issue, which it isn't, it's just one of eight mines the company operates. I listened to the company's Q2 earnings call and none of the analysts covering the company made a big issue of this.
