RE:Gold versus stocks!Not true in my case:  I have been in Gold X (formerly Sandspring) for 5 years now.  The value of the shares (adjusted for any splits) 5 years later is about triple whereas gold is about double.

That being said, some of the random purchases in between then and now might not have kept pace with gold.  So, you have to be SPECIFIC on the time frame you are talking about.

Has gold done better in the last week, the last year or what specific time frame vs GoldX??

Or, as I suspect, this is just a general statement you threw out because you are not as pleased with the increase in share price as you thought you would be by this point.
