To me Bayle seems like a bit of a BTO (Big Time Operator) more interested in growth at any cost so he can collect his big bonuses. He reminds me a lot of ALA's CEO Harris who made huge mistakes with California assests and then the total failure WGL purchase before they finally punted him.
I always thought doing Heratland on its own was a huge mistake and still do. IPL was once a great dividend growth company but now is a bit of a mess.
At this point, all my wofe & I can do is wait it out and
hope all goes reasonably well with Heartland. Lots of risks with it still.

Finally they see a partnership on this mega project as the way to go.... but structured in a way IPL can buy a potential partner out with ease .
amazing management, with very long term vision.
excellent , conservative energy , pipeline, and polypropylene and other conglomerate company.
next year at this time I would be shocked if it's under 19.00-22.00. Should be about 24- 26.00 / share next years

No question there's risk. But it's the old adage: no risk no reward. IPL is at a juncture which reminds me of where NPI was a few years back. NPI had made a humungous bet of multi $$$billions on two mega wind projects off shore in the North Sea. The only talk we heard from the pundits was about risk, conveniently forgetting that upon the completion of the projects the company stood to add $$$500MILLION in annual EBIDAT !!! Roughly the same amount projected by mgmt upon completion of HL. In those depressing days NPI stock languished in the mid teens. Look where it is today.
Of course the two businesses are different and NPI had firm contracts. A partnership would diminish risk. However, if they bring HL to fruition without a partner then the reward is entirely and exclusively theirs.
