RE:Management can deliver...The Lime Stone mine to the North is open cut and has been operating for many years.
And yes.....Lime dust can cause Silicosis if exposed on a daily work situation for many many years, but it is not Almonty's mine.
Silicosis is a lung disease caused by breathing in tiny bits of silica, which is part of sand, rock, and minerals. It mostly affects workers exposed to silica dust in jobs such as mining, glass production, and metal work.
A close friend recently passed because of this as a 40+ year worker in the tiling business doing bathrooms, kitchens and flooring jobs. His lungs turned into hard cement.
The oil above the Lime mine work shop is also part of the Lime Stone mine, not Almonty, but they will do everything they can to fix it with cooperation from the Lime mine.
I am sure Almonty will seal all roads to the Tungsten mine to reduce dust, but unless you are not working in the Lime mine up close for your lifetime there will be no risk or health issues for the town folk.
The asbestos was all cleared and meticulously sprayed while removing, wrapped and disposed of by internation standards, while also ensuring the safety of the clean-up teams.
This all happened in the initial demolition of the old existing buildings, mainly the roof sheeting used on the old APT plant and tranfer station up top on the hill.
Tree huggers all over the place to keep thing on par,.....no probs.
Regarding this, Lewis Black Almonty, CEO of Daehan Joong-Seok said, “We plan to safely dispose of lime waste by discussing it with neighboring mines. Construction waste is being stored for recycling as aggregate, and we plan to dispose of designated waste as well.” “As one of the world's most knowledgeable tungsten mine operators with 5 generations of experience and more than 200 years of tungsten development knowledge, we will operate safely.”
