RE:RE:Drinks rules need reviewI'm not to sure if thats entirly true. There has been very little, if any, consumer brand affiliation in Canadian cannabis. People just arent showing brand loyalty yet. Not to mention reviews of the Deepspace drink are horrendous. This would certainly not make people want to keep repurchasing and disregard other brands.
As for spacing, most stores where im from up here in Canada dont even carry Tweeds drinks (some do but not all). I dont see how shelf space would be an issue as in some stores, the beverages arent even dispayed. You point to a picture on the wall and ask for them.
Unfortunately, gov regs are really squeezing beverages. The big yellow warning on the front of the can that alcohol isn't subjected to doesn't help (bs). Only being available in Cannabis stores makes it tougher for people to purchase. The childproof can and the totally backwards logic of being able to purchase amount based on the beverage size and not potency also does not help.
I do believe once we get a beverage to market, it will be fantastic! However, i think it will be challenging for the whole industry in the short term to get new people to try a product that has a huge yellow warning on the can that reads " Frequent and prolonged use of cannabis containing THC can contribute to mental health problems over time. Daily or near daily use increases the risk of dependence and may bring on or worsen disorders related to anxiety and depression".
We shall see. Lets hope the news we've all been waiting for comes soon!
