Strong thunderstorms may move over portions of the area this afternoon. After these initial thunderstorms, additional strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop by late this afternoon near the Manitoba border and then spread eastward across the rest of the region this evening. Strong wind gusts to 110 km/h are the main threat. However, large hail and an isolated tornado will also be possible with the initial thunderstorms that develop. ###
