Guess the losses

Guess the lossesHow much do you think this company loses every week? Looks to me like the current revenues on the print edition of Now Toronto would be maybe ten grand a week max, more likely less. Georgia Straight is in a very slightly stronger position and might sell a few thou more each week, but it's bleeding out badly. Every one of the cockamamie digital ideas Mr. Knish has cooked up isn't turning a buck and may never make money. The programmatic ad buys they're talking about for the websites aren't exactly evident. The print bill and staff costs will be several times revenues, even with the paper not being distributed through most of the usual outlets. The extent of Brain's losses won't be known until his next filing, but I'm guessing this is somewhere between an historic flood of red ink and a tsunami. I suspect that's what we're seeing through these large volume trades at around a penny. Volume is close to three million this afternoon. Looks like the losers picking their couple of remaining chips off the table and heading home after a long, unhappy night with Mr. Knish.
