I don't suppose he would be receiving BRK dividends. Buffet loves BRK receiving dividends but never pays them to his shareholders. He's got 130 Billion dollars on hand and talks about buying back shares now and then, and even talks once in a while about granting a dividend but never has. A lot of his older shareholders would have the original BRK shares, and to get any income they'd have to sell shares, i.e. they'd be spending the capital, something grandma said never to do. There is a conversion privilege though; you can convert your A's to B's (at 1500 for one) and spend that a little less at a time, but you're still spending the capital.
The upside is that you get a free ice cream cone if you go to the annual meeting.
