Sun Peak Metals Corp. is a Canada-based exploration company. The Company’s principal business is the acquisition, exploration, and development of resource properties for the mining of precious or base metals in Ethiopia. The flagship Shire Project is comprised of six exploration licenses: Meli, Terer, Nefasit, Adi Dairo, Adi Mendi and Wokemba, covering approximately 1,450 square kilometers in northern Ethiopia. The licenses are in the same geological environment as both the Bisha Mine and the Asmara Projects to the north in Eritrea. The Meli and Terer Licenses are part of a joint-venture agreement with Ezana Mining, a private Ethiopian Company and the other four are 100% owned by the Company.

The flagship Shire Project is located in the same geological environment as Bisha (Nevsun) and the Asmara Project (Sunridge Gold) in Eritrea. The Nefasit and Adi Dairo Licenses are 100% owned by Sun Peak, while the Meli and Terer Licenses are Joint Ventures held with Ezana Mining, a private Ethiopian company. Numerous (~24) high priority gold and copper targets have been defined on the Shire Project to date.
