Great news release! Looking forward to what comes nextI’m glad things are coming together. This news release clears up a lot of the final details that were missing, making way for things to move forward in the design & testing of the Nano silicon reactor (NSiR).
Hoping that we’ll get to hear more about NDAs / partnerships in the next weeks/months. The many players in the energy storage space (battery manufacturers & advanced material developers) need nano silicon… right now it’s extremely expensive, and not being produced anywhere at scale, so HPQ has a chance to really get their name out. Now is the time to start making those connections and continue to broaden the customer base for Q4 NSiR samples. That gives them plenty of time, so that once the Gen2 NSiR is complete, they’ll be able to add a sizeable amount of nano silicon to global production capacity (300 kg/month) and have a market ready for it.
I like what Bernard mentioned in his Agoracom interviews - that by learning the preferences and specifications of nano silicon from the many players in the battery space, and focusing on being a silicon material supplier rather making than making their own anode formulation like everyone else is (they are doing this but it's not a key focus), they're very shrewdly setting themselves as a neutral player. If you add to that the really cheap prices at which they plan to be able to sell nano silicon and be profitable, they're setting themselves up in a great position to be the nano silicon supplier of choice!
