RE:RE:RE:EC, There was no bigger believer in this company Sorry for the delay, harvest is underway now. I came in from the field last night and my wife asked me "why that look on your face?" I said I was thinking! She shook her head, rolled her eyes and said "Lord Help Us!"
Sorry, I have never been on the Sedar website and wouldn't know what I am looking for. I went a different direction last night and today while I was in the machine all day and had time to think.
I wanted to get my head around the guys from Gujarat and what was said about them wanting control from behind the scenes and now on the big stage as they have the whole board, CEO and CFO as employees not shareholders. Everyone seems to be an employee of the Gujarat group. They all answer to the Gujarati's. Not to shareholders like you and I. It confirms what I was feeling, and I can see what that feels and looks like oppression to all shareholders.
I wanted to dig into who is GFSC, what are their origins. awhat is their mandate and what do they want? Who/what is an organization that is like them....Then it hit me as I sat in the kitchen with the light on and on my iPad......SaskPower and SaskTel are just like them! GSFC was brought about to bring fertilizer to the State of Gujarat. For the benefit of the State. They are a state owned enterprise like SaskPower or SaskTel.
Not sure how old you are but I remember how Power and now telephone/internet (just got internet at the farm this spring) changed life in Sask and especially on the farm. Electricity changed life on the Prairies as did fertilizer. Initially many farmers did not want to pay for electricity! (kids helped me with the link)
https://www.producer.com/2018/10/electricity-forever-changed-life-on-the-farm/
Now we can live without power or telephone/internet. We produce and consume our own electricity on the Prairies now.
Fertilzer is not a choice on the farm anymore. We can't live without it. We should be producing and consuming it here.
anyway back to GSFC. If SaskPower was investing money in Gujarat, we would be concerned and wondering why? It appears to be the same in Gujarat. People there are asking why GSFC made this investment and where this is going?
Even an old man like me can do a google search, so I did and found this https://www.counterview.net/2020/01/mystery-around-gujarat-psu-transfer-of.html?m=1
Read the article and the comments. Wow!
I have no knowledge of the law suits but if GSFC controls the board with their employees on it and no one on the board or Exec has shares, then they are reporting to and employees of GSFC. That is no where near independent!? And I can see why those shareholder and now I are concerned. So is/are the current board and Execs driving the lawsuits? If so, shouldn't some independent shareholders and board members be on the board and Exec team?
I want to see and understand both sides of the arguments on this site, so I can vote/act appropriately.
So in my view, if the guys from Gujarat took control which seemed to bother many, they have all their employees on the board and we have Executives who have no shares in place and rely on GSFC for their paycheque, then why wouldn't we band together, get some independent shareholders on the board and hold peoples feet to the fire and make the moves to get this to production?
i can see why the Gujarat guys cannot put more money in. They are like SaskPower and cannot put money in to benefit farmers or Saskatchewan, their mandate is Gujarat. Why then do we not want local people who own shares on the board and find some Exec'a who will put their own skin in the game, believe in what they are doing, back or with an investment and not just take the salary. Who wouldn't want to be a highly paid Exec with no shares, risk or skin to loose? All you have to do to survive is keep the guys in Gujarat satisfied.
This seems upside down to me to advocate for the current board and Executives. I suspect like the Liberals they will want to put their friends on the board and expect that is what is coming at the meeting in December. They will hand pick the Kielburgers.
Shouldn't we/shareholders who have money invested, work together to make sure there is an independent and invested board and Exec team?
