HPQ Silicon Inc V.HPQ

Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

RE:RE:RE:Is anyone else producing nano silicon.

RE:RE:RE:Is anyone else producing nano silicon. Right on. There are companies who are working on nano silicon, but none have the PUREVAP advantage of starting with the cheapest battery grade (99.9-99.99%) Silicon feedstock, nor the ability to scale up their process to produce nano silicon at a price acceptable to the market. Look at TEKNA, they’ve been at it for years but their nanopowder is selling at > $14000/kg (according to Sigmaaldtrich https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/aldrich/795585?lang=en&region=CA&cm_sp=Insite-_-caContent_prodMerch_cooccuranceModel-_-prodMerch10-1) and their process does not seem scalable (Bernard has mentioned this as well). HPQ is looking to sell silicon nanopowder/nanowires for $30-100/kg and has indicated they can produce it for far less.

Even if another company eventually does manage to scale their process (we should reasonably assume this will happen), without the starting material advantage HPQ will have, they won’t be able to make the material as cheap. HPQ is in a prime position to be a market leader in the rapidly growing silicon market for batteries. And as Bernard stated they’re the only public company in the space, which makes them a unique investment vehicle for the growing interest in this market.

The process that they have patented is about to prove it is working and scalable easily and quickly versus all other known processes. It takes Billions and years to build the other techs plants.

Hey guys. Just want to start off by saying I do truly believe in this company and what they are doing. I'm sure there is a lot of opportunity here. My only question/ concern is that.... is there any other company that is doing the same thing in terms of how cheap/and scalability. And is that other company going to be able to do it sooner then HPQ.

thanks.

Can be produced by others but not in a feasible fashion to make it availible to the market at a cost that works.
