Laura!! I think that the hurricane about to hit the US gulf coast will likely cause huge damage to the Houston area, as, if you recall, Hurricane Harvey did! This will cause billions of dollars in damages and impact the oil industry in that area! A Cat4 storm is nothing to sneeze at when it targets a major city! This may require billions more from the Fed to repair the economy there, as if what they've already printed is not enough. Anyway that's part of my theory of why gold price is moving up today even in the face of US 10 year going up!
