(OT) why selling is not always the smart thing to do ! A recent experience of mine i will share... just to clarify somewhat why i was holding on to my GER shares when i really had no reason to...
It was because i seen potential... at first when they announced last winter that they had nailed down the 25mm$ LOC.. i thought they had made a major discovery and were setting up for a much larger mine development program.
(as it turns out there was so such thing) and they lost the loc
BUT... at about the exact same time as i was researching GER i came across a company in the green energy industry that made electric powered buses and i bought in in early march in the 28 -30 cent range. Then the effects of covid19 began to affect so many things and the sp tanked to 18 cnets .. when it slowly recovered to 28 again i sold because i was thinking of transit systems only for the buses and thought that not many people would be riding buses for a long time .
But .. i never even thought of a secondary market for these buses and that is delivery services.
OK,, the stickler is this: just last week the stock hit $4.30 (it has since retraced some) but that represented a 15 bagger for me that i threw away !
I had quite a few shares and it would have set me up real nice !
---I know that i can't cry over spilled milk but sometimes when we have a real sense of underlying value, we should remember what it was that brought us here in the first place!
---just thought i'd share a story of mine!
