It would be very risky for any one including politicians to dictate who would get permits or to delay certain companies from a process that requires so many government peoples evaluation. Perhaps not getting government handouts to prevent interference is the best. Just maybe, Nemaska experienced, if they were asked to consider sub contractors to build certain parts of the plant, part of handouts corruption / overruns can easily sneak into such projects and mess things up.
