RE:RE:A $2 billion project that hits the mark for François LegaultIn the article, it says Investissement Quebec hired Karim Zaghib as strategic counselor. He was in charge of Hydro-Quebec research center that was exploring solid state batterys.

He is featured in this video where he does not talk at all about anode composition but gives lots of details on cathode composition, maybe it has to be kept secret?

Also interesting to know:
"A new study led by NIMS researchers reveals that in solid electrolytes, a silicon anode composed only of commercial silicon nanoparticles prepared by spray deposition exhibits excellent electrode performance".

I would see a silicon nanopowder deal with Quebec's government for those solid-state batterie and possibly with Amprius regarding nanowires... That would be my guess at the moment.

A $ 2 billion project that hits the mark for Franois Legault

He wants to make battery production the new James Bay of Quebec

Quebec is preparing to take out the heavy artillery to justify an investment of 2 billion public funds within 5 to 10 years in its electricity sector, if we trust the study by McKinsey, commissioned by Investissement Qubec ( IQ), of which Le Journal has obtained a copy.

No less than 25,000 jobs, including 12,000 related to mines at $ 120,000 per year in the regions. Revenue of $ 5.3 billion. Rivians, Fiat-Chrysler, Mercedes, who would only wait for Quebec to develop its battery industry to no longer depend on Korean LG Chem, can we read in the document.

"For me, the electrification project, as a whole, is as important as the power stations would have been at the time, in the 1960s," went so far as to say the Minister of the Economy, Pierre. Fitzgibbon, last Friday, on QUB radio.
