RE:RE:Effect of bloated share count on theoretical "bonus"Alftanner- get it through your head that any type of consolidation does not change the value of the company but what it does is to further consolidate glencore's position.
From past experience I have seen a number of share consolidations and optically they look nice as a 20 cent stock may trade at $2.00 but then the number of shares that you owned dropped by a factor of 10. I have seen many of these that then, after a short uptick of uphoria, then begin to drop back down- sometimes even before management has been able to pull the wool over other investors and undertaken financing. In the end a crappy company is still a crappy company regardless of the number of shares outstanding as the market value does not change.
I, for one, do not believe in share consolidation as it is just putting lipstick on a pig!
