Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Irwin Simon is a let down in a bull market

RE:Irwin Simon is a let down in a bull market I see the problem with the composition of the BOD. Until there is a change on the board Simon does not worry about his job or his compensation. There will be AGM coming later this year and before that shareholders will receive package to vote on the members of the BOD. Use your voting power if you feel that the BOD does not represent shareholders well. That is your chance to put some (not very large) pressure on Simon. I do plan to exercise my voting rights.

Sometimes boring is good when investing but this looks more like lazy to me. I would expect a bit more action from the management to hold company value through share value enhancing initiatives.

I am long but sometimes feel discouraged with the company performance on its own. In comparison to many of our competitors Aphria is doing not too bad but this is not enough for me and many other shareholders.
