RE:Coming out of the downturn, I dont see anything but upside Eventually there will be upside... but on what timeframe?! Even if TCW is the only fracker in Canada, unless the customers have strong cashflow, what leverage does TCW have to charge more for services? At the end of the day, trucks cost money, sand costs money, fuel costs money, and so does labour. To create profit margin you can squeeze costs downward but only so much before there are no more efficiencies to be found. The other way to boost profit is to raise prices, but who can raise prices in this environment? Show me the profit margin moving north and I would happily be a shareholder again but I just see O&G as a day-trade right now. You can trade the same stock in different styles that take advantage of the type of market it's in. Bull - buy & hold. Bear - short. Volatile - channel trading. But to use buy & hold thinking in a volatile up and down but sideways market is just asking for disappointment. Stay nimble in your strategies and cut your losses FAST.
