The Problem With Sweden
Sweden has no shortage of opportunities for mineral discoveries and Gungnir may indeed hit something in Knaften. The problem is that the permitting process in developing a resource, whether it be gold or nickel, has become so onerous that larger mining companies are just giving up. The CEO of Boliden, Sweden's largest miner, said in the last view weeks that the company was going to focus on opportunities outside of Sweden because of the chaotic, slow and bureaucratic state of mining oversight by the government.
With the Green Party in the current government coalition, I doubt that is about to change any time soon.
