That was from me, and the data is from shortvolume.com. As a word of caution, high short volume isn't necessarily indicative of high short interest, but at such ratio, it does tell something. Also, the statistic is only partial, it doesn't reflect the full market. For instance the volume accounted for for today today was 141.2k, well shy of the full volume. Otherwise, this has been going on for a while.. since mid August, short volume has been very high. I am at a loss to understand it. Maybe this is speculative of a secondary offering accompanying the future trial announcement? That seems early though and dangerous considering the low SP.
