There were a number of articles written in reference to the original HC cannabis regulations that state vitamins and minerals cannot be added.  That said, I just took another look on the HC site directly - and perhaps things have been updated - it is now a bit ambiguous in that 2a says no vitamins, no minerals, but below that it states "exception - vitamins".   Clear as mud. :)

• Prohibited ingredients

  (2) The following substances must not be used as ingredients to produce a cannabis extract referred to in subsection (1):

  • (a) substances that are listed in column 1 of the table in Schedule 2 to the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act; or

  • (b) sugars or sweeteners or sweetening agents, as those terms are defined in subsection B.01.001(1) of the Food and Drug Regulations.

I would be surprised you cant add vitamins to a beverage tho.... where did you read this.
