RE:RE:RE:RE:Up against the wall
RE:RE:RE:RE:Up against the wall I'm not saying there is no value in Pony, the banks are by denying credit to the entire sector. When banks pull the plug, even well managed entities get caught in the demarketing. I am sure that CNQ will have the liquidity to capitalise on the inherent value but I am also sure that Pony will not.
Senior banksters will decide they are overexposed in a certain market or geograpic area and send instructions down the line to reduce exposure to a certain percentage. Account managers will then target not the worst clients but rather the easiest to squeeze money from to meet their target.
I remember a fellow contractor who bought 8 new logging trucks and got squeezed by a mill shutdown and low prices. The lender worked with him and appeared to support him while he sold his house to make up the payment arrears. The second the lender was given a lump sum payment to make up the arrears, they seized all the trucks.
As a businessman, I see all the signs of a sector demarketing by lenders who have lost confidence, not in their clients, but in the sector itself and they will be relentless in retiring debt by any means.
