Preferred Shares are Selling OFF Usually when on class of shares sells off the other follows....so be looking for a 20% correction in the CPX comon unless of course the sell off in CPX preferred shares is short lived. CPX.PR.I has a floor dividend of $1.435 payable quarterly and at a trade price of $22.50, this preferred would yield 6.5%.....unless you think this power company is going bankrupt, you would think that a dividend yield, even if you didn't get the tax credit (say you buy it in your RRIF), 6.5% is a fantastic yield........
