Interesting theory Ratsnake, and although I understand the logic in what you say, I don't think that's the case with these 3DB sales.  Here is my reasoning:

3DB is out of NXO (in terms of decision making), but the brothers are stuck with close to 40 million shares that they are trying to unload but are limited by their contract with NXO. They did not pay a single dime for these shares, so they don't care much what price they dump it at.  In fact, they started their selling at a lower price.  

Remember, they got these shares when Spectrum was taken over by NexOptic...basically they got these shares for their lens idea.  Now they want to cash out and move on.  And so, I think the last thing they want to do is buy more shares that they'll be restricted from selling.

3DB selling means nothing in terms of company prospects, and is too small to have caused the recent price drop, so really it's just noise.
