RE:Planned capital increase of $ 65,000,000Urai58 - Really good analysis here on HYMC.
I think there are several issues to also consider on this name. Caveat, I am not a mining expert but spoke to a few friends who are....
The Northland Factor. Northland Resources back in 2012/13 wildly underestimated their capex needs and went back to the market and got punished by a double whammy of collapsing iron ore prices and a bloated debt stack. They are also still in court for misrepresentation, fraud etc. HYMC was on life support with its debtors (who are currently the largest equity holders) since it went into bankruptcy in 2014 until recently when it got saved by the SPAC craze and backstopped by the Hedge Fund group. Who are all distressed debt guys....
The technology they are utilising is still largely unproven at scale. It takes longer to get the gold and more resources are tied up in the process. It burns up $.
Debt is still an issue. They have multiple characters at the table, the US HF group and Sprott among others.
If gold goes significantly south, the process may not be viable and they will have a really hard time raising additional equity....
I think the stock is too risky, but the warrants might be a good risk return. If gold goes bananas they are 13x geared and there are a lot of them . They have a 5yr life and trade like water.
My 2 cents.
