RE:Sell Orders to Prevent Short SellingDodgeTown wrote: Hi there, I have been a long investor of PYR and HPQ since April, and have been following the bullboards all along, but don't post often. Just wnated to comment on the discussions regarding setting sell orders to prevent your shares from being borrowed by shorters. While it is true that in the USA shares must be borrowed in order to short sell, in Canada this appears to NOT be the case - in Canada, it is not illegal to naked short sell. So, while I wish it would make a difference, unfortunately setting your shares up for sale doesn't stop the shorters. I have no doubt that PYR has been victim of a short sellers campaign (more like attack) recently. Unfortunately due to Canada's very lax regulations, we are known as a haven for these types of attacks making it difficult for particularly venture companies to raise capital - I guess we are called the vulture exchange for a reason. I say write your MPP to get it changed, we are one of the most lax countries in the world in this regard.
My advice is just know what you have in your holdings of PYR and HPQ - truly a Unicorn - and I have to give props to DevelopBC, CdnBacon, Vers, UncleRon and many others on this board for sharing their DD and REPEATING it - I can't tell you how often I've re-read some of your posts when it got tough and you reminded me of the truth of this company - stronger together! Ultimately the company's MEGA success will lead the market, and the price will rise - shorters can't stop that. Sad for those who sold out of fear in the last couple weeks, it is tough to not panic sell which is why I say, know everything you can about your investment. I have complete faith in Peter and team and Bernard and HPQ. Here's a link regarding Canada and short selling:

Long and strong!
It's illegal to short sell in Canada, been posted here before, with actual Canadian securities exchange links
