BlackRock Municipal Income Trust (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide current income exempt from federal income taxes. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in investments the income from which is exempt from federal income tax (except that the interest may be subject to the alternative minimum tax). The Fund may invest directly in securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives. The Fund's investment policies provide that it invests at least 80% of its total assets in investment grade quality municipal obligations issued by or on behalf of states, territories and possessions of the United States and their political subdivisions, agencies or instrumentalities, each of which pays interest that, in the opinion of bond counsel to the issuer, is excludable from gross income for federal income tax purposes. Its investment adviser is BlackRock Advisors, LLC.

RE:RE:Reverse split, annouced 5 months agoIt is hard to say how the market would react. When $ACB did a reverse split, the market knew it was coming, yet the shareprice jumped 300% after a tiny dip immediately following the consolidation. Shorter seller's worst nightmare. Vern and co. are facing the risk that some counter move like that could happen to Hexo's shareprice. 

Hexo's delay in consolidating suggests that, unlike ACB, the directors believe presently that the fair value of the share price should be securely above the threshold of $1USD by Dec or that news coming by then will lift it above that price. But, even if they have that view, they would still have to build in a plan to consolidate shares. The overall market can be unpredictable. Hexo's been dragged down by $ACB's troubles, even though it could benefit from that ultimately.
