This article isn't new but the facts haven't changed . The election in November could speed up legalization in USA and these 3 companies will be looking for a partner especially one which makes money and has super low cost of production .. Aleafia anyone !!

I do not see legalization in the US as a positive for Canada.  In order for us to export to the US, we would need to JV and vice versa for American companies that want to export to Canada.  Unless we JV with one of the big boys with established distribution already......

The regulations in Canada have made it semi impossible for manufacturers to turn a profit as you can see from every single company.  The only ones that can make it are the ones growing outdoors.  From advertising to taxation.  In the US, they are much more open.  In my eyes it is a negative if they legalize, but a positive for maybe 1 or 2 big players.

Think of it this way.  How much produce do you see being shipped all over the world from the US, and how much do you see being shipped there.  With their climate they would flood the market faster than you think.  So be careful what you wish for.  I may be wrong but go to your super market and look at where every single thing you eat is shipped from, especially from Sept going forward.
Let's hope for a higher low this coming Friday.
