It's taken me most of that time to understand that the best way to make money in this sector is become narrowly focused and to study the hell out's the people, the geology, AND THE COUNTRY RISK. These days I stick to North America and Australia. I've left base metals for the time being to focus on gold and silver.
I can't decide if copper, other base metals/battery metals will do well in the near-term, so have almost entirely left those issues. Having said that, I still closely follow all junior mining activity in my state.
