Yes the saliva test we are using is StageZero, as is any testing we are doing outside of Alberta. I’m very excited about saliva with remote monitoring collection because it allows us to drastically increase our service area without really hiring or staffing up. We tested this out with a few groups this week in Toronto, we had the lab FedEx them saliva collections devices and shipping boxes, and then remote witnessed the self collection, helped them with proper labelling and completed the customs paperwork and FedEx shipment scheduling for them. The companies we are working with absolutely love this because they can pre-purchase a bunch of tubes to have on site, and then instantly test their people at anytime and have results 48 hours later without needing ichor or anyone else to be there in person, it’s brilliant.
Large groups and companies would normally be outside of my scope and they wouldn’t really give ichor too much of a look, but this saliva testing program completely changes things. I had a video call with 46 people from Colliers International on Thursday for example, which would normally be a long shot, but instead we are one of the best if not the only rapid response testing options available with a national reach for them.
My job now is to hire “corporate account coordinators” that can be responsible for these clients and make sure they always have the supplies they need, and that the video witnessing and FedEx logistics are always on point. That job can be done from anywhere which means I can scale extremely fast if needed.
