RE:Let’s Use Our Main Advantage The largest outdoor harvest is occuring. Outdoor cannabis is a fraction of indoor cultivation, ranging from $0.10-0.25 per gram. Low cost indoor is ~$0.80 if you're very good at what you do.
Outdoor harvest is highly unlikely to be premium flower. At ~$0.17 per gram, fresh crop is immediately competitive with flower in oversupply vaults for processing.
It's not that they haven't dropped prices to beat competition yet, its that market prices haven't collapsed yet. Why would I take your garbage when there's a fresh supply coming online for a better/competitive price?
The oversupply is a growers issue. Leveraging supply glut is Nextleafs plan. As the price collapses, processing costs become paramount. This is where the long-term advantage is held. Nextleaf doesn't care what ______ grower does with their _____ amount of flower.
LP's no longer want shelves of "crude" returned to them. Few manufacturers now do their own purification/distillation/product manufacturing. Supply is not the issue. It's the demand side where competition for dollars is.
Cannabis has gone through a massive shift, and much like Bevcanna, there will be many other 2.0 companies that realize IT'S EASIER TO BUY THE INGREDIENT.
