This is nothing new.   It's been the "standard" of our capital market system for Decades.   This is only the Tip of the Iceberg.    Other outragous actions I've seen have been are Assets Sell-Off, Mergers, Dillution....and other actions on pennies on the Dollar.  

So when I here posters mentioning "Minority Rights" and "Duty"....... I kind of Shake my head..... Pointless....Plus, Majority Shareholders has much more to lose if share price goes down.  

This whole market has become one big Ponzi Hot Potatoe.
