RE:RE:RE:Brutal drop today. Based on what exactly? No news? I agree, stop losses are not always the best thing. If this is just gross manipulation to pick up a few cheap shares, like .39 cent just wasn't cheap enough, and the stock shoots straight back up, then yes the stop losses are not good. Add to that, that the technology these days tracks all stop losses and grossly takes advantage of them. But where some of these stocks go into complete nose dives for days, a stop loss can save your profits, and allow to to buy back more shares, if you're still inclined, at a much cheaper price point. But as you've mentioned, it a risk of being left on the side lines, and missing out on the next run. That said if you do see a positive uptick, you can still jump back in, and on a hopefully more positive note. You may have missed some of the profit, but if you got out in time, you would have still locked in some of the initial profit.
definitely not something for the faint of heart, and something that requires watching closely if you want to try to time this $hit. I can certainly understand why some choose to not watch, and simply put it away for months or even years at a time without looking at it.
