yes janothemano it is smart to have things on hand. It is only a matter of time another will come. You heard it here first be very afraid of what keeps coming out of China. H1 G4 is on the horizon. Another strain of swine flu. China supposedly has been tracking this since 2011 and have said as they had with covid there is no evidence for human to human transmission. I see problems brewing again. I don't take anything what the Chinese say as being truthful that went out the window when the damn central government silenced everyone else at state level that wanted the information to get out. They even lied about the numbers of infected and dead. Their credibility is as I mentioned out the damn window. Let's count what has come out of China--avian flu, sars, covid 19 and potentially H1G4 if things go like covid 19. You can never go wrong in stockpiling and even once the threat is gone to continue to have hosptial beds/space and things needed to fend off these things.

Back in 2016 both Obama and Gates warned of an ensuing pandemic nobody listened and now there are people saying Gates is behind the covid 19???? Gimme a break!!! We were caught with our pants down there is no way that should happen ever again!!! We may not have been able to get the vaccine that much faster but at least have the needed equipment like the ventilators etc. If anything as the saying goes an ounce of prevention is a pound of the cure! But yeah, H1G4 sounds scary and I don't trust a damn word coming out of China when it comes to viruses!

Now this being said, it will be smarter yet to have people who are able to look after things locally than rely on bidding internationally and driving prices up--so equipment, treatments, swabs, whatever it may be because every second will count and lives are depending on it. Canada was caught with its pants down as well we all were. Our numbers may be low compared to the US but that isn't saying much when we did not have the capacity to look after this and are scrambling again if we are smart better to have things in reserve and be able to adapt a lot faster that said we didn't do that badly to some extent although just ask the people who lost their loved ones--1 life lost is one too many for me!!! So once this is done don't just go about like nothing didn't happen that is just being silly and ignorant we need to be blaming vigalant and better prepared never to get hit this hard again!
