I thought it was an interesting talk. Leaving gold behind goes counter to conventional thinking but makes sense at some point. So much for nvo being on the cutting edge though. And the video was done in 2017. Bloody Russians are always ahead of the game.

Of course leaving gold behind makes sense under certain conditions. If it's uneconomic, it's just dirt.
Look at sorting as a process. Where it is adopted, it is touted for its positive economics. Your web links continue to reinforce those positive aspects.
So there really is no further argument. Tin, silver, gold, diamonds, etc . It does not matter. In fact, the higher the density of what you want to sort, the better.
Scaling is not a valid argument either. EVERYTHING can be scaled up if positive economics exist. Once the process and machinery is developed, it can be multiplied and expanded. It the basic premise behind all mega business operations.
Only the human mind restricts itself. Except possibly for those wacky Russians - who often act without inhibition and achieve unexpected success under daunting conditions.

Not neccessarily. If the mill is optimized at 5200 tpd and regular feed is 4200 tpd at 2.5 gm, intuition would say the extra 1000 tpd could be economic at a much lower grade.
In any event, I would never call myself lotionboy which was the point of this discussion.
