Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. TSX Down 80 Points With Miners, Financials The Biggest Decliners

MIDNIGHTTRADER - Updated 1 hour ago

10:44 AM EDT, 10/13/2020 (MT Newswires) -- The TSX is down 80 points this morning on mixed sectors.

The biggest decliners are miners (-2.42%), pulled down by weaker gold and copper prices, and financials (-1%). The energy sector is the third biggest decliner, also down 1%.

The biggest gainers are info tech +1%, and healthcare (+0.7%).

In stocks, Aphria (APHA.TO) is the most actively traded, and is nearly 8% higher. The company announced no news today, but last week reported that it has completed its first EU-GMP shipment to Germany. Cannabis stocks are also higher after vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris reportedly said that presidential candidate Joe Biden would decriminalize marijuana at the federal level if he was elected.
