Sweden is an example to show that the drastic economic effects of lockdowns has created significant differences in cases or deaths, and that the difference in cases and deaths is cetainly not worth the continued economic costs.
Sweden has only had 6,000 covid deaths for a population of 10,000,000 despite not enacting any strict lockdown measures. They have not devastated their small and medium size businesses and retail sectors. They have not caused year+ long delays in citizenship applications, court filings and other governmental services. They have not resorted to massive government deficits to support immense joblessness caused to protect 0.05% of the population.
Supporting the lockdown in light of Sweden's accomplishments is akin to ban motor vehicles to prevent the accidents they cause. You need to have some long term thinking - some small portion of the elderly may die and that is unfotunate and life must go on
