Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Eliminate Irwin Simon he brings nothing to the table

RE:Eliminate Irwin Simon he brings nothing to the table I still agree with all the analysis that there is plenty of upside - so it looks like it will take more time to extract a respectable valuation for our shares - although we are now actively trading from a large core position rather than simply holding.   However, if what you say is true, Canopy doesn't need to go through IS or his board.  None of them have bothered to acquire any influence as shareholders - they simply serve them and the company.

Canopy can (and probably will) go right to the shareholders if they are really interested.  That may be what you are seeing right now in the market.  If they are in fact taking a position at these relatively cheap prices, they will have a material vote when the time counts.  So along with the various institutional shareholders that would roll their poitions over and the increasing number of unhappy retail shareholders, there would be nothing they could do to stop a hostile bid.  Canopy and STZ won't care if they get APHA's representatives onside - they have their own management horsepower and its certainly not their first rodeo.

It would be interesting...
