VentriPoint Diagnostics Ltd V.VPT

Alternate Symbol(s):  VPTDF

Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd. is a Canada-based medical device company. It is engaged in the development and commercialization of diagnostic tools to monitor patients with heart disease. It develops a suite of applications for all heart diseases and imaging modalities, including congenital heart disease, pregnancy, pulmonary hypertension, COVID-19, technically difficult imaging and cardiotoxicity in oncology patients. It provides application of artificial intelligence to echocardiography. Its flagship product, Ventripoint Medical System (VMS+), enhances echocardiography to deliver cMRI levels of accuracy for volumetric measurements and ejection fractions for all four chambers of the heart. It has developed a solution that transforms cardiac care through its 3D ECHO and MRI software. VMS products are powered by its proprietary Knowledge Based Reconstruction technology, which is the result of a decade of development and provides accurate volumetric cardiac measurements equivalent to MRI.

RE:RE:RE:I'm in no rush for news, there are no " deadlines" Amen Pandora, we've both been here a long time and obviously believe in the tech, which just needed a few modfications to make it 'user friendly'. Those were done, as well as the remote install feature to accomodate installs during COVID. But, at the end of the day, there's no 'magic' that puts this system into every location that could benefit from it (and those are MANY MANY). It takes time for the word to spread. I invested long ago (4+ yrs) because I believed in the need for this device. Has been a long painful wait, but I am absolutely convinced that they have finally fine tuned the product to something that is completely 'market ready' and we will eventually see multibag returns. A deal with a large entity already in the med device business would accelerate the timeline, but I'm ready to wait whatever the path. I'm in it long term GLTA longs

But all this takes time, I'm starting to notice a lot more inpatient people on here and ceo. Not every stock is a rocket, this stock will turn into one once more hospitals realize what an important tool this is for them not to mention a hell of a lot cheaper than an MRI. IMHO. Anyway tomorrow is another day. GL

Also, concerning the MRI, there is not a problem with radiation as there is with CT Scans. The MRI is "magnetic resonance" so although radiation is not a concern there are a list of other items associated which would prevent certain patients from having an MRI:

"Because radiation is not used, there is no risk of exposure to radiation during an MRI procedure. However, due to the use of the strong magnet, MRI cannot be performed on patients with:

  • Implanted pacemakers
  • Intracranial aneurysm clips
  • Cochlear implants
  • Certain prosthetic devices
  • Implanted drug infusion pumps
  • Neurostimulators
  • Bone-growth stimulators
  • Certain intrauterine contraceptive devices; or
  • Any other type of iron-based metal implants.

MRI is also contraindicated in the presence of internal metallic objects such as bullets or shrapnel, as well as surgical clips, pins, plates, screws, metal sutures, or wire mesh.

MRI generally is not advised for patients with epilepsy.

If contrast dye is used, there is a risk for allergic reaction to the dye. Patients who are allergic to or sensitive to medications, contrast dye, iodine, or shellfish should notify the radiologist or technologist. MRI contrast may also have an effect on other conditions such as allergies, asthma, anemia, hypotension (low blood pressure), and sickle cell disease.

There may be other risks depending upon your specific medical condition. Be sure to discuss any concerns with your physician prior to the procedure."

A lot of situations where ultrasound and the VMS+3.0 is the ideal remedy.
