BHP can make as much money block-caving as Newcrest.
This is MINING after all, not brain surgery.

What is different, IMHO, is that Cascabel is a copper mine with silver and gold values.
BHP NEEDS to replace its copper reserves.

Newcrest is a GOLD miner.

As you rightly point out, there is MUCH MORE to get straightened out among the parties.

AND (this is important) CGP stock, given today's spot metal prices, remains at least 100% above its current price.

But I don't want to get ahead of my skiis.
