Subject: High Speed Internet Service in Crockett
Mr. Gentry,
My name is Dan Clapp. I‘m with Ruralink Wireless, a company dedicated to providing high speed internet and other services to rural America. We are in the planning and design phase to build a network that will provide service to the homes and businesses in Crockett and Grapeland.
We, along with our partners including Microsoft’s Airband Initiative, have a mission to provide underserved communities with the best quality, high speed internet access that has been largely unavailable in rural areas. Our immediate goal is to deploy a hybrid wireless/fiber broadband network in the 4th quarter of 2020 that will cover the Crockett region. The network will enable us to provide internet services with speeds up to 100 Mbps. Soon to follow will be additional services that will allow our customers to experience a wide range of internet-delivered experiences that rivals those offered in any metropolitan area.
We currently have no presence in Crockett so we are looking for help to develop local contacts that will assist us with identifying customers willing to connect to the network before we start commercial service. We would like to have a broad spectrum of applications including government, education, residential, business, agriculture and utility if possible. Would it be possible to schedule some time to talk on the phone today? I’d like to fill in the details with you.
Kind regards,
Dan
