Redton drilling comment

Redton drilling comment
From corporate presentation describing the drill target we are awaiting drill results on:

Redton North: 1100 x 550m IP CHG (>14 ms) & coincident magnetic high – like Kwanika.

Redton North (coincident magnetic and IP chargeability anomalies) is along strike from Serengeti’s Kwanika South and Central Zones.   A deep penetrating soil geochemical survey is planned for this target which is buried under deep glacial till cover  (
followed by drilling of which one hole has been completed)

Comment:    Apparently they didn’t do the geochemical survey because I didn’t see they did it in any of the news releases this year, but went directly to the drilling based on the magnetic high described above.  Perhaps the geochemical survey may not have been too accurate due to the glacier till movement over the ages.  I like it when there is drilling under deep glacier till cover.    If there was a visible fault or indication of mineralization to the eye, it would have been located ages ago, but hidden deposits are still around to be found.

Deposits under previously glaciated areas tend to be newer discoveries such at the Blackwater deposit owned by New Gold (first discovered by Richfield Ventures).  What is interesting in their case is that they were drilling for silver but found gold instead.  So under glacial till you never know exactly what is there except doing electronic surveys from the surface or other indirect tests.  Let’s hope that the same type of coincident magnetic high as Serengeti’s deposit actually translates into another deposit.  It would be nice to get Pac Ridge's 1st drill hole in the new area get the program off to a bang.
