current treatment charges TC now at 80 USD/lb plus more news

current treatment charges TC now at 80 USD/lb plus more newsFirst news: I just checked currrent treatment charges for delivery 1st of November: they re in a price range of between 70 and 90 USD/lb now, down from 170 end of September. Lets see if that trend continues/stabilizes at the low levels.

If so, it is not only good for Trevali - normally TC go down due to higher zinc demand plus lower concentrate supply. And right now, China importing zinc at level not seen before. Means: with a little luck, zinc prices will stay down and yearly TC might get fixed at 150 = 15 (!) Cents less AISC for TV. Its all speculation of course. But lets state: the news that TC got down even more is definitely a good sign for future zinc prices.

Second news: just an interesting article: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/25/business/commodities-metals-prices-china-coronavirus.html

Its from end of September already, but things havent changed for China since. Especially interesting was the doubling (!) of souvereign debt by China mostly for spending it into infrastructure.

Third news: if for some reasons you have time the 5th and 6th of November, there s a free online conference about zinc: the 2020 Zinc Roundtable, organized by the International Zinc Association (IZA). Here s the link for more infos and free participation:

Last and most important: a good week to all of you out there! Dont let negative people rule your mind and think positive. "Dr. Copper" shows us the way: up :)
