Kinross break-up and London listing reportsThe report of Kinross being broken up and the African/Russian mines being listed separately in London sounds like a terrible idea. That listing something in London makes it more valuable sounds like an idea from the last century before cross-border digital share trading became everyday. It's true that Kinross is still very undervalued, but reaching an appropriate valuation isn't going to happen overnight and creating a spinco seems like an unnecessarily messy way to get there.
If J. Paul Rollinson got out there and started doing some video interviews like Peter Marrone and Mark Bristow, that would help a lot. There should be more effort to tell the world what the Kinross vision is and why people should own the company.
