IIroc has a 5 million dollar reward out for information that would bring down illegal short sellers. When the company realized they got hammered (and likely would continue to get destroyed/) by short sellers leading up to the financing (where they would cover) they likely blew the whistle to regulators.

That said, its likely one or multiple (or all) of the funds mentioned in the original financing. I really wish others we're as proffessional as BMO who no longer allows cannabis stocks to be shorted.

Time will tell, though we may never know.
