RE:RE:Saw this post on redditit's definitely a bash job but I have noted before that the salary of leadership is unusually high for a startup.
This is not a bashing post as you've seen from my previous posts I like to be very fair to all sides of the arguement. It is fair for any investor or potential investor to comment on the salaries of leadership because at the end of the day for pre-revenue companies that are still in the fund raising phase investors are the ones paying the salaries of the employees.
From my experience in investing in startups senior leadership traditionally take low salaries in the early years to pay them a living wage. This is due to the fact that they would have a high shareholding so if they have faith that their company will succeed they will reap the value of those shares at a later stage beit through an exit strategy or dividends.
